Each bracelet is strung on strong elastic and finished with two fallen acacia wood beads and a lustrous Czech glass globe. The Leakey Collection donates a portion of the sale of this bracelet to the costs of starting and running a women-owned dairy. Buying Zulugrass Women Owned bracelets directly supports the entrepreneurship of rural Maasai women.
Zulugrass strands are made from sustainable, natural grass beads by rural Maasai women in Kenya. The richly hued grass is dyed with non-toxic, colorfast, low-impact dyes and interspersed with hand-blown Czech glass.
